Our ample 500 paintball package is guaranteed to keep you firing all day, but if things get heated and you need more, you can purchase 100 extra paintballs for only £9.50.

8 Exciting Paintball Game Zones for Kids
Our children’s paintball sessions offer a variety of eight exciting game zones, designed for action, teamwork and adventure. Each zone features a unique map, goals and victory conditions, as well as life-sized barriers and other props that encourage your youngsters to work together as teams, using strategy to defeat their rivals.
Your kids’ paintball experience can take place in the Wild West, on the Battlefield, over the Bridge or behind the wrecked cars in Junk in the Trunk. They can find cover behind helicopters, tanks and tyre stacks or play from the barricades, towers and slide of the Player’s Playground. No children’s paintball group will get bored with the number of exhilarating game zones at PPK.

At PPK, we work hard to provide an enjoyable and memorable day for your child and a stress-free one for the adults! We understand how important it is for you to organise your visit in detail to be fun and successful. With that in mind, we have provided you with all the important information you need to plan your children’s paintball day out!
Our Kids Paintball Equipment
Our 0.50cal paintball equipment is designed to be a low-impact alternative, as it uses smaller paintballs (0.50cal rather than 0.68cal) that are fired at a lower velocity. This version of the game has been designed for younger ages, although it’s still just as fun!
The equipment has been engineered so kids (and adults!) aged 8+ can easily cock, load and fire the markers, ensuring hours of safe, outdoor fun.
Parents and Older Children
Our base camp area provides a comfortable space with covered seating and facilities to purchase hot and cold food and drinks, while your kids are running around letting off steam. Parents and older siblings are, of course, welcome to join in the excitement and fun in an epic paintball session if you so choose.
Clothing
It’s important that children wear comfortable clothes, and they may need a change of clothes for afterwards. We strongly recommend boots with ankle support, deep treads and rubber soles – it can be muddy, wet and slippery in the woodlands. Paintball gloves and body armour will of course be provided as standard.
First Aid and Safety
Should first aid be needed, we have trained staff on site. When the safety talk is given by our marshals, we ask that you manage group behaviour so the children are listening to the really important safety rules, such as not removing goggles during gameplay, etc. Please note that our risk assessments are for guidance only, and trip organisers are advised to complete their risk assessment before visiting.

Why is paintball for kids such a good activity?
There are so many reasons that paintballing is great for kids, such as:
- Physical Activity: Running and dodging is an excellent source of physical activity and helps them to stay active while having a great time.
- Teamwork and Communication: Kids learn to strategise and work together, which helps them to learn important social skills and cooperation.
- Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: As a strategic game that requires quick decisions under pressure, kids learn mental agility skills and improve decision-making abilities.
- Fair Play: Children’s paintball is great for learning how to follow rules and play with integrity – with our experienced marshals on hand to help enforce the rules.
- Outdoor Adventure: Paintballing helps children benefit from fresh air and encourages engagement with the natural world, away from screens.
- Emotional Regulation and Resilience: Kids learn to handle adrenaline and excitement, and how to manage their emotions during games. It strengthens resilience when dealing with challenges and setbacks.

How many paintballs do you need for a half-day session?
You’ll need at least 300 paintballs for a half-day session for your kids to really make the most of their paintballing experience. Chat with our team about how many paintballs to purchase for the length of time that your children’s paintball session will last.
Is children’s paintball safe?
Kids’ paintball at PPK is a little different (and safer) than the standard game. As well as a compulsory safety briefing at the start of the session, and all standard protective gear that includes masks, body armour and overalls, we provide a different paintball marker for kids.
The 0.50cal paintball marker is designed for children and is a low-impact version of a standard paintball marker, using smaller paintballs that are fired at a lower velocity. Safety equipment such as masks, goggles, chest protectors and gloves will be provided, and you can further upgrade these when you arrive for an additional charge – see our pricing page or chat with a member of the team for details.
Does it hurt to get hit by a paintball?
Everybody has a different pain threshold, which makes this a tough one to answer definitively, but the smaller paintballs and lower velocity of the children’s paintball game generally make an impact feel like a firm flick to the skin. We have a more detailed explanation of what to expect if you’d like to know a little more.
How do you play kids paintball?
Our highly experienced marshals will explain all of this in detail at the briefing and throughout your day with us, but they have also provided a comprehensive guide to the game that you can read for yourself.
What do I need to bring on the day?
All the protective equipment will be supplied by us, so your children just need to wear comfortable clothing and shoes. All our paintball games take place outside, so there is a high likelihood that your kids could get muddy, and being hit with paint is almost a certainty, so choose appropriately!
You can bring lunch and snacks if you wish, but if you’re booking a full-day session, lunch is provided as well as snacks and drinks being available all day at our base camp. Make sure that any additional clothing accessories, such as watches, glasses or earrings are either removed before paintballing or securely fastened.
